Tana For City Council
Born and raised in Park City, my roots run deep—reaching back to 1860, when my family first helped shape this community. For nearly 64 years, we’ve kept the doors open at Red Banjo, Park City’s oldest family-run business—adapting with the times, serving neighbors, and staying true to our values.
But this campaign isn’t just about my story—it’s about all of us.
I believe in a Park City where everyone belongs. From longtime locals to new families, essential workers to small business owners, seniors to students—our future depends on creating a place where people can grow, thrive, and feel seen.
I’m a creative and future-minded leader who builds consensus, communicates with care, and leads with clarity and conviction. My leadership reflects deep community roots and real relationships across town. Four generations of my family live on the same Old Town street—including the nieces and nephews I hope will grow up with the same connection to the place that shaped me.
As a businesswoman and co-owner of Red Banjo, I know firsthand what it takes to sustain and grow a legacy Park City business. I built a career in the tourism technology industry—working for both startups and publicly traded companies. At one point, I managed global teams across five countries for a fast-growing tech company, giving me a front-row seat to innovation, scale, and strategic growth. I now bring that experience to public service. I also co-chair regional efforts to advance equity and opportunity for women, serve as Park City’s liaison to the Utah State Legislature, and sit on the Board of Directors for the Utah League of Cities and Towns—ensuring our local voice shapes statewide decisions.
Whether mentoring youth, guiding new city staff through Park City’s history, or bridging partnerships across agencies, I lead with service, tenacity, and a long view. I stay grounded through a daily practice of trail running, sunrise hiking, yoga, and breathwork—carving out space to stay aligned, strong, and fully present in both leadership and community.
“Growing up here, I’ve watched Park City expand, evolve, and reinvent itself—and I’m proud of that. But nostalgia won’t protect what we love. If we resist change, we risk losing the very heart of this town. Keeping Park City a place where people feel connected and valued takes real work—and I’m here to make sure we evolve with intention, so we stay true to our roots and ready for what’s next.” — Tana Toly
